OzHands | B2B & B2C Australian Marketplace
A custom-developed e-commerce and logistics marketplace dedicated to promoting Australian-made products. Built using native HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript, the platform connects local manufacturers with global wholesalers and retail shoppers through a high-performance, responsive interface.
Overview:
OzHands is a specialized "Virtual Shopping Mall" and export-oriented platform designed to support Australian small businesses. The project required a robust front-end architecture that could handle diverse functionalities—ranging from retail shopping to complex B2B wholesale inquiries and international logistics management.
My Role:
As the Front-end Developer, I built the user interface from the ground up using a "Code-First" approach. By utilizing HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, I ensured the site was lightweight, lightning-fast, and fully optimized for SEO without the overhead of heavy frameworks or page builders.
Key Features & Implementation:
Custom Responsive Grid (HTML/CSS): Engineered a flexible, mobile-first grid system to display thousands of product listings across various categories (Fashion, Food, Beauty) seamlessly on any screen size.
Dynamic Interactive Elements (JS): Developed custom JavaScript components for real-time search filtering, interactive vendor dashboards, and smooth navigation menus to enhance user engagement.
B2B & Wholesale Integration: Created specialized UI modules for "Export Enquiries," allowing international buyers to easily communicate with Australian manufacturers.
Performance Optimization: Focused on high-speed rendering by writing modular CSS and optimized JavaScript, catering to the site's high traffic (6,000+ daily visitors).
Vendor-Centric UI: Designed and coded a "No-Commission" marketplace interface that directs shoppers straight to the retailer’s own store, requiring precise link-handling and external referral logic.
Trust-Building Design: Integrated visual cues and badges (Australian-made verification) to reinforce brand authenticity and compliance with Australian Consumer Law.
The Result:
A highly scalable, custom-coded marketplace that facilitates global trade for local businesses. The site serves as a bridge between Australian manufacturers and the global market, providing a professional and efficient user experience for both buyers and sellers.
Technical Stack
Language: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+)
Architecture: Mobile-First Responsive Design, Modular Front-end
Focus: E-commerce UI/UX, B2B Logistics Interface, SEO Performance
Deployment: Hosted on high-performance Sydney-based servers for 100% Australian localized performance.
